Why is your dog a hero?
Hi, I'm Bailey. I was a stray from the Agoura Hills Animal Shelter in 2019 who was thought to have diabetes or a kidney condition. Instead, I have a disease called "I like to drink A LOT of water" and I've become a certified therapy dog. I regularly volunteer at schools, doing my best to make kids (and adults) smile. I've also been a much-needed therapy dog in traumatic events, such as the unexpected loss of a beloved teacher at Oak Hills Elementary and the recent crime spree that ended tragically in front of Westlake High School.

In addition to my therapy dog work, I also love running with the kids on our local cross country and track team, and occasionally swimming in the creeks that they foolishly jump over.

I also enjoy mountain climbing, playing in the snow, making friends at the beach, and mopping floors with my tongue.
