Why is your dog a hero?
Belle is undoubtedly our family hero. She was my late Aunt Marcie’s brand new puppy back in 2017. Marcie tragically passed away in her sleep days before my family and I were due to arrive for a visit to her home in Lansing Michigan. What was a vacation turned into a gathering of family with broken hearts for my aunts funeral. Belle was everyone’s emotional support animal during that trying time. My Uncle Dave, Marcie’s husband, expressed that he would like us to take Belle home to California where she could be our family pet. Without hesitation my wife agreed that we would bring her home, suddenly ending an eight year argument as to weather or not we would have a dog. Belle is sweet, affectionate and playful. She is very loyal, loving and obedient. Belle has been an integral member of our family for the last seven years and continues to brighten our lives each and every day. She continues to memorialize my Aunt Marcie by emulating her kindness and happiness. Belle continues to support all of us emotionally as my wife Michelle was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She remains a hero as our support animal and is helping our family through yet another trying time.
