Lola (aka Little Lola Frenchie) is more than just a dog — she’s a beacon of comfort, connection, and unconditional love in her community. As a trained therapy dog, she’s made it her mission to bring joy and emotional support to those who need it most. Whether she’s offering her calming presence to children with special needs or showing up to lift the spirits of local heroes and veterans, Lola embodies the true heart of service.
Lola has become a cherished companion for children with special needs and their families. She instinctively knows how to create a safe and soothing space, helping to ease anxiety, build trust, and spark communication. Many families have witnessed how her gentle demeanor can calm a child during challenging moments or help them engage in ways they hadn’t before. For these families, Lola is more than a furry friend — she’s a partner in progress and healing.
But her kindness doesn’t stop there. Lola is committed to supporting her broader community. She has visited the local fire department simply to say “thank you,”
Lola has also gone out of her way to honor those who have served our country. She has visited veterans to show respect and gratitude, offering her quiet companionship. Her ability to connect with people, regardless of age or background, makes her a unique and powerful source of comfort.
Lola’s presence is healing. She doesn’t wear a cape, but she brings hope, peace, and love wherever she goes. Her impact ripples through the lives of the people she meets, inspiring others to be more present, more kind, and more connected.
Lola is now reaching even more children and families through her very own children’s books. Designed with love and inspired by her real-life visits and therapy work, these stories help little ones learn about kindness, friendship, and everyday routines in fun, engaging ways. Through her books, Lola continues to offer comfort and connection — not just in person, but on every page — making her a special part of children’s lives near and far.
Lola’s work represents the very spirit of what the Los Angeles Fire Department stands for: courage, compassion, and community. She may be small in size, but her impact is mighty!!!
For all these reasons, Lola deserves to be recognized. Not just for the good she does — but for the good she inspires. Her kindness is contagious, her service is selfless, and her heart is pure. She is the kind of dog who reminds us what it means to care deeply and love without limits.
She’s already a hero in the eyes of those she’s helped — and now it’s time the world sees her that way too.
