We are the third home
For this long, orange fellow.
We’re lucky he’s ours.

He isn’t just cute.
This man is intelligent.
He knows all the tricks.

Sit, stay, paw are some.
Examples of intellect.
But he is stubborn.

Each night he cuddles.
In the depths of the blankets
In which he slumbers.

His genetics have
Given him so many toes.
He’s polydactyl!
