My cat is fabulous because:
When we adopted Charlotte at age 4 she had every reason to be a feisty girl: she’d been declawed by her previous caregiver and we brought her home audaciously expecting her to share space not only with a blind dog but also with another adult cat! For a decade she did her best to coexist, bopping her canine sibling only occasionally. Never a lap cat, she showed affection in other ways, like greeting me at the door every day after work and accepting tours of the yard on a leash. Since losing her 18-year-old feline step-sister, Charlotte has stepped into the well-deserved spotlight and graced us with unconditional affection. Now a Netflix lap cat, she’s also a master puzzle solver with advanced degrees in cardboard box inspection and yoga while napping. We love her for every bit of who she is.
