How we met
I met Fenwick on March 31, 2020 through Happy Tails Rescue. He is a Brussels Griffon that is approximately 6 years old. With the world shutting down due to Covid, I was able to foster him for 8-weeks. I instantly fell in love! Knowing he needed someone that could be home full time, and be the only pet, I knew I had to find him the best family! His new Mom, Kacy and I became instant friends which allows me to dog-sit often, visit him in Boone, NC and be his "Bonus Mom". I couldn't be more grateful and blessed to be a part of his life.

In May 2023, Fenwick was diagnosed with a pancreatic insulinoma. Heartbreaking diagnosis. After meeting with veterinarians at NC State, it was determined that he was not a candidate for surgery.
He took chemotherapy treatment for a couple months, but is currently not seeking additional treatment.

Fenwick is living his best life in the High Country while we give him love, hugs, treats and fun adventures every single day.

What is the best trick your pet has taught you?
Fenwick has taught me that if you are adorable and can sit up on your hind legs, you get treats from everyone!

What is the strangest thing about your pet
The strangest thing about Fenwick is he can eat most anything with only about 6 teeth.

Does your pet have a favorite toy or activity?
Fenwick loves his Lambie. When he came to the rescue, he had never had a dog toy and didn't know how to play with them. After a couple weeks of settling into his new home, he took up with Lambie and now sleeps with him.

His favorite activity is traveling with Mom and Dad to various wineries, breweries, outdoor festivals and any fun outside event!
