Named after his look-alike Sir Purr of the Carolina Panthers, Sir Percy was adopted as a kitten from Mecklenburg Animal Care and Control on October 16, 2016.

Never without his signature bowtie, this dapper dude lives in the Belmont neighborhood of Charlotte, just down the road from NoDa Brewing.

He knows more than 10 verbal commands, and his favorite pastimes are playing fetch, patrolling the fenced backyard, and bothering his older sister Sophie. He is front and center for any family activity including crafts, bubble blowing and backyard blow up pool days. You can see more of his adventures on Instagram @sir.percy

Consistently overcoming the notion that black cats are bad luck, Percy brings joy to anyone he meets. He survived a harrowing 6 week ordeal of being lost and on his own in early 2019. His signature bowtie and two eagle eyed little girls who found it led to his eventual rescue.

Percy represents the sprit of determination and never giving up even when life throws challenges your way. Who better to be the Queen City Kitty and the face of Rescue Brew than the cat whose been rescued not once, but TWICE!! If he had thumbs he’d be the first to crack open a cold NoDa Brew at the end of a long day of napping!
