Martha, a miniature poodle, was rescued from a hoarding/breeding situation when she was 9. She was transferred from a local shelter to HSC where they treated her for skin sores, malnutrition, loose teeth and worms. Once she was spayed she was available for adoption. When we met Martha at HSC there was no doubt she would join our family. Despite her neglected background Martha is so sweet. She loves everyone she meets and appreciates a good hug. She is beautiful inside and out. Martha's story gives hope to senior dogs awaiting their forever homes. We are so grateful for HSC and the rehabilitation work they provide. We are happy to be part of a fundraiser for the shelter that introduced us to Martha!
