George lives up to his nickname Curious George, always exploring, sniffing and eager to be outdoors. He’s a BRC (Behavioral Rehabilitation Center) grad after being rescued from a 90-dog hoarding situation in Ohio. George was adopted from the Charlotte HSC in March 2022. He was deemed a flight risk and was extremely quiet and anxious, always standing on guard several feet away from his parents.

In the past year, George has made immeasurable progress. He’s found his voice (and boy, does he use it!), he loves being let off the leash to run super speedy laps, and he looks for any chance to dive onto his mom’s lap or under the covers with her.

George deserves to be Top Dog because he embodies the mission of the HSC—to improve the welfare of dogs and cats and to better their community. His spunky, loving spirit makes the world a little bit brighter every single day.
