We adopted Cooper from a rescue organization in Waxhaw that rescued him from a kill shelter in SC. When we first saw him, he was clam and just chilling while all the other dogs went crazy around him. He didn’t seem much interested in us but my husband convinced me he would be a perfect match even though I was hesitant because I didn’t feel that instant connection. Boy, am I glad we took him home, I can’t imagine our life without him! He is so cuddly, sleeps in as long as we do, LOVES chasing squirrels in the backyard #nosquirrelsallowed, let’s our cat Mia groom him, follows me around everywhere, gets the best little zoomies (even in his senior age), does not discriminate against any toy we buy him, talks to us when it’s dinner time, and is really good at opening Christmas presents and putting the paper aside while he tries to get to his present. Cooper aka Coop the Poop is our best friend, our little handsome man, who’s a little long and a little short mix of everything, FULL of love! We can’t imagine if we hadn’t adopted him 7 years ago.
