Rescued from the streets of Rockingham County at just 6 weeks old, Birdie got a second chance at life and has spent the rest of her days living it up. Adopted from the GCSPCA as the smallest puppy ever to a human mom who was searching for a hiking partner, snuggle bug and drinking buddy, Birdie is an independent, sporty queen who is fearless and infallible yet gentle and sweet. Pros: Loves the water – beach, lake, creek or sidewalk puddle – and the woods. She keeps her mama safe with a big-girl bark that can scare anyone away. She loves her friends at daycare. And she loves her belly rubbed. Cons: None. 13/10 all day every day.
