I rescued Fred right before COVID hit. I began making poor decisions in my life and ultimately relapsed in my sobriety. I can tell you 100% I would have been dead if I didn’t have him to take care of. I looked at Fred one day and knew that I needed to be better for myself and for him, this innocent creature who has stood by me at my worst and still loved me. Not a day goes by where I don’t tell him thank you for saving me from the darkness. He is the best, most handsome boy in the entire world. It’s ironic that I’m sober now and wanting him to be the face of a beer can. I honestly find that to be the most fitting honor I can give him, besides maintaining my sobriety and taking care of him the best I can. My life revolves around Fred and in exchange his life revolves around me. I love him.
