Mary Rose is our first house only pet. She loves sitting in the window, preferably open!) to watch birds and nature. She chatters to certain birds and makes friends with the others. She seems to sense when I am not well and then curls up next to me. Otherwise she's on her throne. Mary Rose is our "guard dog" cat! She notifies us be coming to us meowing when someone is close to the house when she hears them. She even meowed intentionally at night until we got up to find we had not shut our patio door! When we shut it she settled down, went to sleep purring. Ya gotta love that purrrrrr! Mary Rose is not an exceptional animal, but to me she is my little caretaker and hero.
