Benny was found on the streets of Charlotte by Animal Control last year when he was still a baby. He was rescued by North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue and has had many wonderful foster families who have taken care of him since then. My last rescue dog lived almost 17 years and passed in October and I believe she sent Benny to me. We met and fell in love on Valentine’s Day 2023 and Benny found his furever home.

The rescue group initially thought he was a sheepadoodle but Benny’s DNA test came back with all sorts of breeds. Chihuahua, Pomeranian, poodle and Pekingese are the primary breeds.

Benny’s distinguishing characteristic is his one pink eye. He seems to have vitiligo and has no pigment around his right eye and on patches on his snout, and has a pink streak on his nose.

He is full of energy and personality and loves to chew anything and everything he can grab!
