Artemis and his brother Zeus were rescued by our Local Finger Lakes SPCA as kittens. They were in pretty bad shape but were two of the lucky ones. We adopted both of them at age 5. So “ Artie” has had a long recovery. He was more Feral but we could tell he just needed more time and patience to adapt to his new home. The breakthrough came as we noticed he was especially fond of soft Spa music. They say music calms the savage beast. Well we sit on our back screened in porch in the evening and we listen to music. He is an old soul but also loves to play with ping pong balls., lay in the sun and patrol his forever home. Artie also loves to stretch up to us and get his share of petting. I think Artie is a testament to how patience and love can make an animal who has come through a tough journey and rescued can make the best pet and live a beautiful life in their forever home.
