Chester and I met when he literally darted in front of my friend’s car, rolled over to let me pet him, and then followed me home down the block. He promptly walked straight inside and hasn’t left. Turns out, Chester was a free agent neighborhood feral who needed a home after I discovered he is FIV positive and was chipped with no registration. The good news for me is that he is somehow the only cat I’m not allergic to. Fate.

Since being home was infiltrated by this little lion, I have learned more about myself than I thought possible… but mostly about him. Like, Chester Cheeto is the most lovable, but scrappy, little predator I’ve ever had the pleasure of petting. Chester Chonky Cheese is also the chattiest, most relentless alarm clock I’ve ever had. There is never a time he is not curious about what I’m eating or when he will be eating. This cat was sent to me when I needed him the most. He deserves to win for all the above.

No matter how the votes shake out, I know that Chester is my Queen City Kitty and I couldn’t be more thankful he found me.
