Tell us about your pet and why they should win!We adopted our sweet rescue pup when she was 2 years old, after she bounced around from shelter to shelter. The rescue organization told us they picked her up roaming the streets of NODA. Now Sophie has a forever home, and is a happy 13 year old senior dog enjoying daily swims, boat rides, and walks at Lake Norman parks. Over the years, she has battled various health issues, including severe arthritis and thyroid conditions, but she has powered through her physical challenges and mellowed in her senior years. Anyone who meets Sophie falls in love with her, and we’re doing our best to give her a happy and comfortable life as she ages gracefully. She is a rescue success story and is truly a lucky dog!
