We found Ellerbie at a rescue in Raleigh and fell in love immediately. She had an incredibly stressful and tragic few months before she came to us and started very scared and anxious. We couldn't leave her alone for any amount of time because the separation was so traumatic for her. She's such a wonderful and loving dog with so much energy and we're so glad we're able to provide a home for her where she can feel secure and able to be herself.

She's very feisty and knows exactly what she wants and will make sure you know as well, between pawing at you, staring and "hrmph"ing at you, making little barks, or any other combination of behaviors. We love that she has that ability to voice her thoughts or needs and always try to encourage that so that she feels like she has agency over her life.

All dogs are special but we feel like we really lucked out with the most wonderful dog in the whole world!
