This is Teddy. Teddy was in CMPD animal control care for several months, and I walked him weekly as part of a volunteer meetup group. We tried so hard to get him adopted- he’s a sweet and affectionate boy who, as you can see, loves his treats! As the kennels filled up, in a moment of desperation, I texted friends who live in Washington DC. After a few weeks of deliberation (and lots of photos and videos), they adopted him. I transported him to Richmond, where they met him and fell in love. He is now living his best life in DC, sleeping on a couch instead of in a kennel. Teddy is a story of having very trusting friends (adopting a dog based only on my word!), but also of good people wanting to give these pets the second chance they deserve. Also.
