Our baby girl, Penny, is the most gentle soul. We rescued her from a shelter in Texas, after she was dumped by her owners near an actual dump, along with her siblings. She was also attacked at 5 months old and her gums were split open on one side of her mouth after being lock jawed by another dog at the park.
Through everything she has gone through, she is still calm, sweet, and gentle. She is the perfect girl and the epitome of a soul dog. She tends to be a little scared around other dogs due to her past, but she tries her best. She is strong, athletic, cuddly, and a big daddy’s girl. He put himself in front of the dog attacking her without hesitation, so I don’t blame her for favoring him!
Penny reminds us of how important it is to give shelter dogs a chance. They require a lot of patience, acceptance, and love. She’s taught us grace!
