Fitzgerald arrived in our home from a farm up near Pilot Mountain (the farm had too many kittens so many were given away for free once they were old enough to leave their mother). Shortly after his arrival, he needed surgery on one of his eyelids because he was in pain and wasn't able to fully close his eye. Luckily, he handled the surgery like a champ and fully recovered! Though he had a tough transition going from an outdoor cat to an indoor cat, he has thrived in our home. Recently, he was found to have cancer in his other eye but again, the surgery was a success and he is doing great. I think he should win because he is beautiful inside and out, an excellent entertainer, a source of emotional support to everyone he meets and we love him dearly!
