I moved from Michigan to Florida and while down there I lived next to a rescue facility. On my first visit I found Remi and immediately brought him home. There was a retired woman who would regularly take a van out to the woods of central FL with catnip to find stray cats to bring to the shelter. On one of her trips a 10 month old dog also came running out of the woods. This explained his anxiety about being abandoned, his fear of water, and how he still tries to befriend any outside cat we see on a walk. We have now been in Charlotte for 5 years and he loves walks at Cordelia Park, trips to Crowders Mountain, and playing fetch in our backyard.
