Hi, my name is Boo Boo Bear.

I’m a Pawfect pick for 2025 Rescue Brew pet picture. I am a rescue from the humane Society of Charlotte but my story did not start there.

I lived in Asheville in September when I was rescued from a trailer park with all 8 of my babies. They were just born and someone threatened to end us all. The heroes of Brother Wolf Animal Rescue stepped in to save us. Shortly after, Hurricane Helene hit. We were then evacuated immediately to the good people in Charlotte Humane Society.

My babies were only a month old and I was doing the best I could but I needed help. I developed a massive infection within three weeks and underwent lifesaving surgery while my babies were taken care of by the Charlotte Humane Society. I recovered and could still take care of my puppies until they were completely weaned and adopted. Once the last one was adopted I underwent spaying.

Oh, did I tell you, while I was in Asheville, my foster mom had a friend who would come by and puppy sit while she was out. I decided she would be my forever mom but when I evacuated she lost contact with me. She searched for a month until she found me through social media. She made contact with my foster in Charlotte and was there the day I was ready for adoption to take me back to Asheville.

Now I live in a house and play with my toys. I play at a private dog park called the Wagbar with all my friends!!!
I go on long hikes and some runs with my human mom and dad. I stay busy protecting them from Asheville’s cicada invasion. Those bugs are everywhere but they sure are tasty!
