Meet Matilda. She was rescued during the pandemic off the streets on downtown Rock Hill after nursing a pup by a 78-year-old Vietnam Veteran who was delivering Meals-on-Wheels. Sadly eight months ago, he had a stroke and as fellow church-members, we took her in. At 6 years, she acts more like a puppy each day and loves walks and playing “puppy bowling” with a tennis ball. She really loves sitting on the back porch while we enjoy a No-Da Brewing beer! Though we are tempted to say we rescued Matilda, it was really Matilda who rescued our family of four and brought a special joy into our home.
We would also like to thank the Humane Society of York County, who through a grant, enabled us to get her spayed at a local clinic for $50.
A vote for Matilda is a vote for dogs who don’t just need a second chance…she’s our 3rd CHANCE CHAMPION!!!
