Doorknob is the friendliest, goofiest dog you could ever meet, with a name that suits his lovable personality. We rescued him from a farm in Virginia where his mom was found by the farmers abandoned, pregnant, and living on the street. After giving birth on the farm, the puppies were put up for adoption, and we fell in love with Door at first sight. Doorknob lives in Noda and spends his time going on walks down Davidson Street, playing with the neighborhood dogs, and frequenting the Dog Bar. In the photo submitted, he had just graduated from Level One of Dog Training at the Humane Society of Charlotte. He was so proud of graduating from training and couldn’t wait to show off his graduation cap for photos! Door deserves to win because he is a Noda local with a heart of gold who loves watching his Dad brew beer with the family. He is the epitome of a rescue story, with his DNA results returning “Super Mutt” due to the amount of breeds he’s mixed with! Even if he doesn’t win the Rescue Brew contest, he’s sure to win over the hearts of everyone who views his profile.
