Happy is a beautiful mix of Lab, Husky, Pit Bull, and Beagle (amongst a few others). We adopted her as my Dad’s birthday request after our previous dog passed and we were struggling. For his birthday, he wanted us to just look at some rescue dogs. Well, once we met Happy (formerly Sedona), we were hooked. We named her Happy in honor of “Happy Birthday” and lo and behold, her estimated birthday is within days of my dad’s! Everyone that meets her says her personality matches her name (without even knowing the back story). She is nicknamed the caramel latte not only because of her colors but her caffeinated personality! My dad also calls her a “cartoon dog”, well, because she is. She loves to play fetch, hike, bark, bite feet, choose her own walking paths, talk to us when hungry, and be a lovable nuisance. Happy was surrendered to The Humane Society at approximately age 1 and we have enjoyed every day of the last 2 years with her.
