This is Tucker! He was adopted by my boyfriend and me in January 2026 after being returned to the shelter twice before finally finding his 'furever' home with us. Tucker is a mix of Mastiff, Staffy, English Bulldog, Terrier, and more — basically a little bit of everything!

What makes Tucker extra special is that he has a rare morphology gene that keeps him much smaller than you’d expect for all the large breeds in his DNA. Because of that, we lovingly call him our “forever puppy” since he’ll always have that adorable puppy-like size and look.

Tucker should win because his story is all about second chances. After being returned so many times, he still has the sweetest, happiest personality and absolutely LOVES everyone he meets! He reminds us every day that shelter dogs are incredibly resilient, loving, and deserving of a forever family. Tucker may have had a rough start, but now he’s living the life every shelter pup deserves — full of love, snuggles, and lots of swimming. We couldn’t imagine our lives without him, and we’d love for his story to help shine a light on just how amazing rescue dogs truly are!
