She likes to sit on a footstool and monitor the world from a front window, even sleeps on it rather than in her cushy bed.

... dislikes large birds and chases the crows, hawks, geese and herons off the property.

... loves to run and leaps with excitement every few steps, jumps into the back of the SUV from a seated stop.

... closely and patiently observes our food preparations ; anything that falls on the floor is quickly claimed, even spinach and broccoli. Same with the horses, who are messy eaters.

Barks if horses escape their gates.


Your Pet's Story or Bio
Got her from a Dalmatian breeder in Pennsylvania, from a litter of 12. She would sit pretty and pose, then jump and tumble, while the the others were more sedate.

Compared to our prior 2 dalmatians who were more compliant, she was difficult to train, willful. Scratched a hole in the kitchen vinyl floor and chewed holes in the drywall. We were not sure we could keep here, but who would take her? We're more patient and experienced than most.

Now at 4 years, she has learned the house rules, and is a delightful pet and great companion. She has her own unique personality, but we are glad we were persistent and worked through the training challenges with her. We can take her to visit family with no concern for her behavior.
