Your Pet's Adoption Story
I decided to take my kids shopping for items that were needed at HSFN. We went and dropped them off and went to look at all the animals. Tiki was in a front office by herself, sleeping. She was so little. I didn’t intend to adopt, it was just to donate items, but my son and daughter had other ideas. They insisted that Tiki needed a home to live out her life in. She was 11 years old. How could I say no? Well after bringing her home, we all fell in love. She has been through a lot. She had major dental work done, had a cancerous mass in her nasal passages operated on and had radiation therapy for it. Then had emergency gallbladder surgery. With all that, I wouldn’t change my mind adopting her. She loves her humans and is an excellent guard dog.
