She’s basically a person in a dog costume—just ask anyone who’s looked into those expressive, too-wise eyes. She’s a total daddy’s girl and a world-class ball hoarder. One ball? Cute. Two? Better. Three, four, twelve? Perfection. She’ll fetch for hours, happily ignoring her humans’ pleas for rest as they melt into puddles of exhaustion.

At home, she’s chill and sweet—until a doorbell rings on the TV. Then it’s Code Red. Her bark is unstoppable, her commitment to the cause, unshakable. Strangers? She’s not sold. She’ll watch from a distance like a judgy aunt until she decides if they’re worthy.

Don’t even think about touching her food, especially if you’re a cat or her “little” brother (who’s 30 pounds heavier, by the way). But catch her in a soft moment—chin on your knee, eyes full of dreams and hopes for a snack—and you’ll hand over your last bite without question.
