In 2016, Lexi was rescued off of the streets of South Dallas by Good Shepherd Rescue of Texas. Lexi's Foster Mom at Good Shepherd surmised that Lexi had been severely abused while she was used as a breeder in a puppy mill. No one knows how Lexi escaped from her unfortunate situation, but thankfully the wonderful volunteers at Good Shepherd found her and took her in. When we adopted Lexi from Good Shepherd in December, 2016, she was extremely fearful and did not trust anyone! We have since showered her with love and provided her a secure home. Lexi is now a completely different dog! She is self-confident, loving and extremely happy with us in her forever home. Lexi has taught us that it is possible for any dog to overcome the horrors of the past if given a second opportunity at life in a loving home! We LOVE Lexi!
