Betsy found Ping’s photo online and it was love at first sight. He was about 6 months old and a new arrival at the Little Rock Animal Village. She went to see him and knew he was the one! The next step was to convince Jim, who had never expressed an interest in being a dog owner, although he is an avid golfer. Jim was won over by the little dog ‘s photo and Betsy’s suggestion that he be named “Ping”. He was to available for adoption the next morning to whom ever was there first. So Betsy spent the night in her car in the parking lot. It was a hot muggy July night, made even longer by a multitude of mosquitoes. As it turned out, the only other person who came was the newspaper deliverer! Ping was adopted and has been part of the family ever since!
