Zoe is one of three miniature dachshunds I have owned and is by far the one who makes me laugh the most. I’m not entirely sure, but it’s possible she identifies as more human than canine. Zoe loves chasing squirrels, watching a variety of tv shows and movies (and will bark at villains), and snuggling. When Zoe sleeps, she sounds like a tiny dragon or snuffleupagus. While her antics and delicate confirmation makes her look like a puppy, Zoe is actually five years old (but she insists that she’s only 2). You will forever be Zoe’s friend if you throw her favorite squeaky toy, rub her belly, or bring her anything remotely soft and cuddly to burrow into. Zoe and I support the Humane Society and their efforts to find loving “fur-ever” homes for animals who deserve to be loved unconditionally and who will do so in return.
