A little about our pet(s)...
Presumed a Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix, Cookie (originally Molly) was adopted at 10 months old at the Humane Society after her owner had to go into a nursing home and couldn’t take her. I saw her photo posted by the Humane Society and thought of how confused and distraught she would be to be left by her owner and find herself in a cage in a room of barking dogs. We had to go see her. At the time, we had 1 other HS adopted dog, and 3 rescue cats! All but she have since passed away. Now 14 years old, Cookie has been a wonderful fur baby, never barking unless protecting her turf. She’s hiked up to 7 miles with us and still enjoys walking and hiking. We are so grateful to have her and hope she’ll live past the 16 years the vet is hoping to see.
