How has your dog impacted your life or the lives of others?
Coconut—our sweet Coco—is more than a rescue dog; she’s a survivor with a story that has touched so many lives. She was found abandoned on a beach in Puerto Rico, vulnerable yet full of quiet hope. We rescued her, got her the care she needed, and fostered her during our stay, never expecting how deeply she would impact us.

Believing her forever home was waiting, we flew Coco over 10 hours to Tucson. Just one week later, she suddenly went into cardiac arrest. We performed CPR all the way to the emergency hospital, and miraculously, she was revived. Coco then endured plasma and blood transfusions and spent four days in intensive care, where she was diagnosed with a serious heart condition.

Her adoption fell through, but by then, the bond was undeniable—Coco had chosen us. During her recovery, she seamlessly became part of our family, joining our grandbaby, two Great Danes, a Frenchie, and three rescued cats.

Coco’s resilience has inspired everyone around her. She reminds us of the power of second chances and unconditional love. Coco didn’t just find a home—she created one, and in doing so, changed our lives forever.
