How has your dog impacted your life or the lives of others?
Casserole came into our lives during a time of heartbreak. After the sudden loss of our beloved Black Mouth Cur, Bean. But not long after, we met a tiny puppy at the Humane Society named Casserole, and it felt like fate from the very beginning. Between his food-themed name and his fur color, it felt meant to be.

The Humane Society had saved him after he contracted parvo at only five weeks old. We are forever grateful to have him in our family.

From the moment he came home, Casserole fit right in with our older dog, a cattle dog named Noodle. He followed Noodle everywhere as if he had always been his little brother. As he’s grown, we’ve noticed little traits that remind us so much of Bean — small moments that have brought comfort and healing to our family. While Casserole has a personality entirely his own, those similarities made us feel even more so that this was meant to be.

Casserole brought joy back into our home when we needed it most. We love him deeply and will always be thankful to the Humane Society for giving this sweet boy a second chance.
