How has your dog impacted your life or the lives of others?
Penny is always smiling and happy. She had a hard start in life. We were her fourth home. Then, she got really sick at around 9 months old and almost died. It turns out she has Addison’s disease which means her adrenals don’t work right so all her organs began shutting down. She needs injections, twice daily meds, and a special diet. After awhile in the hospital she came home and is the life of our family and to everyone she meets. She’s the one who looks out for all the other pets and humans in the house to make sure they are taken care of. We are lucky to have her and her sunshine in our lives.

How did your dog become a part of your family?
I met her by chance in her third home who couldn’t keep a rambunctious puppy there. She hugged me and hopped into my car and the rest is history
