How has your dog impacted your life or the lives of others?
Max was slated to be euthanized-- a street dog in Nogales. He was starving when I rescued him three months ago. With good nutrition, he has gained 17 pounds. Max has brought joy back into my life after losing my 2 dogs of 14 years. He also brings much joy to his FB followers, and anyone who meets him can't help but smile. He recently ate a tube of red paint and also spread it all over my white carpet. We were so scared he would be terribly ill, but we monitored him closely and thank goodness he is now fine. It looked like a crime scene in my bedroom! He is super smart-- one of the smartest dogs my trainer has ever worked with--so she says. This puppy knows 20 commands, and is currently learning how to do the cha-cha. Agility training will be next. This dog is destined to do amazing things. One of his missions is to raise money to help other shelter dogs who are still seeking a forever home.

How did your dog become a part of your family?
My girlfriend showed me his photo at a birthday lunch. I saw his face and it was all over. Amy from the Sanctuary Project facilitated the adoption.
