How has your dog impacted your life or the lives of others?
12 days after helping my dog, Elvira depart, I met Audie at the Humane Society. Finding him was a gift. I live with Bipolar Disorder and don’t do well without a dog. He is as sweet as he looks and has joined our family seamlessly. We soon discovered he is deaf so that’s been a new learning experience for us all. He is so mellow, smart, handsome, well dressed (I make him bandanas.), easily entertained, loving, loyal, cuddly, and funny. He loves to visit his grandparents! I have been taking him different places with me and people enjoy meeting him. He also shows folks that animals with disabilities can live happy lives and helps in creating a dialogue about disability awareness. He is also named after the most decorated US Soldier, Audie Murphy. I am so grateful to have him in my life and appreciate everyone who had a hand in taking care of him and making it so I could adopt him.
