How has your dog impacted your life or the lives of others?
We got Tucky from the Aussie shelter. He was 8 mths old but even at that young age, I knew that he had been abused. He was very timid and afraid especially of men. From the day we picked him up, he was the gentlest soul you could ever imagine. We have another dog, Shelby and he immediately took to her. Shelby is also an Australian mix. A few years ago, Shelby came down with autoimmune disorder where she is loosing the muscles in her face. Because of the disease, her eyes get a lot of buildup. Tucky licks her face and cleans her eyes when he sees she is having a hard time. She loves it. He lets her be the big boss.

How did your dog become a part of your family?
We had an older dog Shelby and I thought she needed a companion.
