Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia is dedicated to promoting the compassionate treatment of animals in our community through adoption, public spay/neuter services, sheltering, and education.
HSSCG is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization. We do not receive United Way funding, funding from the Humane Society of the United States, or state/ federal funding. Donations, fees, fundraisers and endowments are our chief sources of income. HSSCG is not a branch or division of any other local or national agency.
HSSCG rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes companion animals. We are a no-kill shelter with limited-admission intake procedures. We can only accept animals when we have physical space for the cat or dog in the shelter or availability for foster family placement. Due to limited resources and the financial realities and challenges we face daily to care for up to a hundred animals on any given day can easily stretch our budget and human resources.
