Rules

1. Submit your dog, cat, horse, mammal or bird’s photo for FREE ,beginning September 1.  Animal does not have to be a rescue.

2. The contest is open to anyone, anywhere including HSSCG volunteers.  However, HSSCG staff and members of the Board of Directors are excluded from participating. 

3. Photos are displayed on the website for voting until 11:59:59pm EST September 30.

4. Votes are $1.  You can purchase as many votes as you would like.

5. The top 13 winning entrants will have their pet’s photo displayed in the HSSCG Pet Calendar 2016 which they will receive complimentary.  The top winner will be the cover of the calendar.

6. You may enter as many photos as you want however keep in mind that friends and family votes add up, so spreading those votes among multiple pets limits your chance of winning.

7. You can email links to family and friends to encourage voting for your pet’s photo.  On your pet’s public page, there is a “share” button that allows you to share your entry through Facebook and other social networking sites.

8. HSSCG is a 501 ©(3) organization.  Donations are tax deductible.  The email acknowledgment reply to your online donation serves completely as your tax receipt.  If you desire a mailed paper receipt please email connie@hsscg.org.

9. We plan for the 2016 HSSCG calendar to be available for distribution to winners and for sale the end of November 2015.  Information about purchasing calendars will be available on HSSCG.org and our Facebook page. 

Photo Criteria

1. Photos must be of companion animals only (dog, cat, horse, mammals,bird) -  no humans.  Animals do not have to be rescued. However, all animals must be depicted in a humane and dignified manner.

2. Digital photos ONLY please.  Photos must be clear, of good quality and high resolution (300 dpi or higher in TIFF or JPG).  To qualify, photo entries must be available in color, of landscape (hortizontal) orientation, and able to be printed at a size of 8.5”x 11” without significant loss of quality.  HSSCG does not have available staffing to tweak, photoshop, resize or restore your submitted photo.

3. We reserve the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason.

4. All photos must be uploaded  to http://gogophotocontest.com/hsscg.

5. No mailed entries or drop offs will be accepted.  By uploading a photo you certify that you or a family member took the photo and it wasn’t taken by a professional.

6. All submitted photos may be used by HSSCG at their discretion for any and all marketing purposes.
