Your Pet's Bio/Story
At a music festival, the Pagosa Humane society brought me - then named Rocky - and other adoptable dogs to the show. This was my first rescue outing. I was there for about 30 minutes when a beautiful Aussie Lady, Bear, walked up to me with her person. Bear smiled, and we walked side by side, enjoying each other's company. I wondered what would come of this chance meeting. The next day, Bear and her person came to the rescue. I was in love, I couldn't believe it; Bear selected me! They brought me home to this wonderful place, the Caribou Dog Ranch; renaming me River. Bear and I lived our best life, living in the Rocky Mountains; and traveling the US; exploring, loving, living. 💖 Sadly Bear passed that December; but a year later, another chance meeting brought Willow, a Weld County rescue, into our lives. 💕
