Your Pet's Bio/Story
Meet our sweet boy, Clay — named after the brave dragon in the Wings of Fire series. We adopted him in April 2022 from Humane Colorado, formerly the Dumb Friends League. He was so scared, shy, and unsure of his place in the world. With time, patience, and lots of belly rubs, he grew into the confident, loving 5th member of our family.

He’s the reason we can only vacation where dogs are welcome, because wherever we go, he goes too.

Clay isn’t a fan of closed doors, vacuum cleaners, or loud noises. But he absolutely loves chasing balls, going on hikes, spur of the moment family car trips, cuddling on the couch, and anything beef or chicken. He can also perform a squeaker-ectomy like no one’s business.

Clay reminds us every day that love heals, trust can be rebuilt, and sometimes the ones we rescue end up rescuing us.
