Your Pet's Bio/Story
We went to Humane Colorado on 10/26/2024, just "to look". In the previous 18 months we had lost 3 senior dogs to old age and our house was awfully quiet. We came across a pair of sisters, 15 weeks old, scared and frightened by the shelter environment and people. They were named Emma and Melanie. We decided to give Emma the best life we could. She was renamed Gilly and after 3 weeks of mainly hiding in corners and under furniture she started to trust us enough to start exploring. The days of the shy puppy are gone, she is a rambunctious 1 year old that loves apples, chasing grasshoppers, yodeling the song of her people for whoever wants to hear. She has an infectious smile and eyes that stare to the bottom of your soul, and there is never a dull day with Gilly around.
