Your Pet's Story or Bio
As a volunteer at an animal shelter I tend to get pretty attached to certain dogs. Nikko was terrified from the moment he arrived at the shelter, I literally had to carry him everywhere. He was afraid of doorways, barriers, strangers and lots of other things, but we worked through it. We went to so many off-site events and he was so perfect. I worked very hard to get this guy adopted......3 different times. The last time he was adopted, I cried for 2 days. When he was returned again, I knew he was coming home with me. He's never going to enthusiastically embrace strangers or new things, but we push the boundaries slowly and he has made so much progress. Loves all his girlfriends at doggie daycare, both two and four-legged. We are his fourth adopters and I'm beyond grateful that things worked out. He is the most affectionate, loyal, cuddly boy and he makes me laugh every day.
