We went to HES looking for a small lap dog after our beloved pooch passed over the rainbow bridge. The staff introduced us to Benny instead and we fell in love with our big boy lap dog! He had been adopted but returned due to an illness befalling his new owner. Benny was devasted to have had a home and then lost it. He was skin and bones and big sad eyes. Now he is a big ole chunky love bug! We are so grateful to have this sweet guy in our lives. His only “flaw” is his overwhelming fear of turtles!
