I'm presently fostering Buffy from HES.. Buffy had to be surrendered by her elderly owner when she lost her health and could no longer stay in her home. Buffy is special needs. She is blind and diabetic.. I wanted to get Buffy's story out because she is such a good dog.. I know most are apprehensive to foster or adopt a special needs dog.. Buffy's first day in my home she completely learned her environment.. indoors and fenced area outside.. she goes in and out with other dogs, walks right up the steps back inside and goes to her doggie bed.. if one didn't know Buffy was blind you would never know it! She will turn her head and wag her tail when you talk to her.. she loves family and to be included in social events.. she minds extremely well understanding everything said to her! She does great on a leash and she loves to be covered up snuggly in her bed at night.. Buffy says, please give fostering or adopting a special needs pet's a chance.. we are good pets too!
