Spencer was a rescue pup who entered our lives when he was approximately two years old; he was such a wonderful dog but the early abuse he sustained never really left him and he stayed defensive and shy. He had one eye, bad hips and hind legs and had a severe head tilt from a ear infection that nearly took his life in 2015 but thanks to the River staff he was saved and we were lucky to have him in our lives for four more years. Even with his physical limitations he was a very active dog and really loved playing in the snow.
