We adopted Bandit at 9 weeks old. He had been abandoned at a dumpster in Middle TN and taken to a shelter where we found him, but he “chose” us by climbing my husband’s frame and sitting atop his shoulder. We took him home and from that day forward he commanded every room, every situation, and every soul he encountered. My social butterfly. Part Maine Coon and bobcat, he was forever by our side, in whatever room we were in, he was with us. He never met a stranger, greeting every visitor at the door and welcoming them in. He supervised every situation, every task, shared in every joyous occasion, and comforted in every heartache, even placing his paw on my arm just to let me know he was “there”. He put me to bed each night, often with his paw on my face. He was handsome, inquisitive (sometimes to a fault), and a total goofball. My sweet little confidant, “roommate” and playmate crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 1, 2019, but he is forever in my heart and in the many memories he left me with as well as those he encountered along his beautiful path. So special, such a blessing.
